About the Hurleys Greetings! We're the Hurleys! We moved to rural Sheffield from California in 1994 and we have been married since May of 1990. With our daughter, Tori, we proudly make our goat's milk soap from the milk our Nubian goats produce. Meet the members of our family!
Holly Inspired by the home-based business of making and selling soap, Tori has also begun her own crafting business making corn bags, pillows, and home-made dog treats and sells these alongside Holly at the various events they attend.
Holly's love of animals also extends to the family's cats -- Milo & Midnight and their two dogs -- Lucy and Rudy,
our standard poodles. |

Holly is a native of California. Dan and Holly met while Dan was stationed in Long Beach, CA, with the Navy. This big city girl turned out to be a country girl at
heart. Holly loves having the wide open spaces of Iowa to roam in, and she also loves animals! The goats are part of the family. The babies are so cute and full of
energy! It is hard to have a bad day when all one has to do is look out a window and see the "kids" playing and having fun. Holly is the main manager of Hurley's Goat
Products, performing the bulk of the work with the soap manufacturing, labeling, packaging, and sales, both over the Internet and in person through area shows and
conventions. On the side she runs the after-school program at the area school and homeschools Tori.
Dan grew up in Mallord, Iowa, and spent all his early years on the farm. After college he went into the Navy and served his country for 6 years, including time during
the first Persian Gulf war. Dan is employed full time as a maintenance mechanic at 
Tori is our only child and enjoys helping with the
goats. Since becoming home-schooled, Tori helps out a lot more with the care and maintenance of our goat herd, the
soap-making process, and thinking up new ideas for our soaps. She loves bottle-feeding the new "kids", helping name
them, and playing with the goats. Tori helps in the soap process by helping with the wrapping and labeling stage.
She also helps out at the craft shows and fairs we attend.
